Go on any social media platform and if you search for logo design, literally thousands of independent artists, agencies, freelancers and independent graphics gurus will come up. So, what is a talented designer to do, if they are looking to stand out in this crowded space?

Social demographics are a challenge, but easily overcome
When I began to post on my new branding channels in the usual spectrum of Instagram, Facebook and even Linked-In, I became aware through the logarithms that I may be missing my intended target audience. Relocating from the Middle East to England in a few months time, I wished to build an audience in the UK for my own purposes when I settled there. So, as any avid social media aficionado would do, I began to boost in small amounts utilizing 3rd party apps, while tagging common phrases to get viewers. What I quickly realized is if you manage social in 3rd party apps, the targeting option can become skewed and default back to your locale where you posted from. Expecting to see new fans and followers in the UK, I was seeing my likes and followers/shares from my native audiences in the Middle East. Be aware, you must track your posts and see about any missed location pins, incorrectly aligned hashtags and other methods to grow your organic audiences efficiently.

Partner up and don't try to eliminate competitors
You may be a little surprised to see this topic here. For over 25 years, being a marketer within the Architecture and Engineering industry, my biggest driving force was to eliminate competitors within our field of specialization. Social media changed how we must approach our competitors. You can never completely beat out your enemy in the new social media dynamic. When the offers role in and services get delivered, you may win the bid, but ultimately designers who live online are hard to extinguish completely. So be careful, don't offend, and partner and buddy up as much as you can to grow together.
